I really like the look of steampunk and thought it would be fun to create a piece using embroidery and some ancient time pieces that I have. It was a bit of a challenge as I tried to take apart an old watch. A hammer came out and then some pliers. Now don't worry no valuable, vintage watches were harmed in the process! Then I was surprised how teeny, tiny the pieces were inside of the watch. I found my eyeglass repair kit and used the screw driver from that set to begin deconstructing the inner workings. Luckily I had needles thin enough to fit into the microscopic holes that were in the pieces and gears. And, this was the result of my efforts!

Wow ~ this is an incredible piece of felt jewelry! To be honest with you, I have never worn anything felt, besides earrings. Was wondering how the bracelets hold up on your wrist, especially in warmer weather?? Very creative ~ Keep up the beautiful work.

Ollie. The cuffs hold up well. Each are lined with either Silk/Suede/Linen to keep the body oils from the felt. The felt is actually felted wool which is very durable and very soft. Thanks for asking!
Very cool! Love how you integrated all the tiny watch pieces. Steampunk is such a fun genre.
On the post right below ... wow, that is some pic! I've learned a new word, "haboob"! :) It looks like some massive sandstorm out of Arabian Nights or something. Must feel very strange to be inside and watching out the windows as one of those hits.
