Getting ready to head into Box Canyon.
This is really green for Arizona, this area is generally brown, no moss, nothing.

When you find water in Arizona, you take plenty of pictures

Arizona looks so beautiful. And I have to say that I have a 4-Runner, and I love her. She's perfect off road. ♥
Amazing photos! Arizona is on my list of places to see. It just looks stunning.

Gosh Rose. These photos are absolutely exquisite. I love these scenes. To answer your question, you're taking the photos; 1 for your blog. 2 you were afraid to ride in the vehicle under such treacherous conditions. Let me know if I'm correct.
Edna, lol....mostly because he is a daredevil and I felt safer outside of the vehicle! But the pictures came in handy too!
Box Canyon was really awesome 25 years ago when I used to ride out there. We would rarely see anyone else...and if we did, it was just another dirt biker, never anybody in SUV's or quads. There was a guy named Pete Villa Verde who lived in the house at the end of the cabin, and he was quite a character. There was a cavern back there that at one point had actually been walled in apparently and was a bar for the local miners. I miss being able to ride there.
