We lost our Rottie a little over a year ago and began looking to rescue another dog about six months ago. We have looked at a lot of different dogs and none of them felt right. Last Friday we found Sasha and Roxanne. They were from a litter of six puppies and are a mix of Rottweiler and Cattle Dog. They all look very different from one another, but Sasha looks like a mini Chaco (our rottie). She'll get to about 50lbs...she has a healthy appetite.We got her from AZ Happy Tails and I can tell you that they are about the best shelter we have dealt with. They take such good care of their puppies...they arrive healthy and happy. And, ready to play! The owners really make sure their animals go to the right home and will be well taken care of.
So here is Sasha at 9 weeks old....it was hard to get a good picture since when she is awake she is a ball of energy!

She's adorable& reminds me of our dog Sam (who passed away over a year ago, at about 15 years old). The vet said that she was a German Shepard mix, but she looked like a cross between a rottweiler & a doberman. I never really understood the German Shepard idea. She was the sweetest dog. It looks like you've got a sweetie, too!
I read your earlier posts about the pups and noticed Chaco wasn't mentioned. Sorry to hear of his crossing the Rainbow Bridge. Sasha is a real cutie! debbie

deb, yes chaco died new year 2010. he lived to 15 years and it went very fast, but it was devastating. Rylie and Frannie took it very hard too, especially Rylie. About a month after he died Rylie became the "guard" dog. Now he's the enforcer to my commands for Sasha..
Sasha is just adorable! Our Xena (Bouvier) died last summer, and we are just now starting to think about getting a puppy.

Orion...she is keeping me busy! Forgot what it's like to have a puppy...the things they can find! I have a friend who use to raise Bouvier's ....what fun dogs! Good luck with your puppy hunt...the right one will come along.

She is just adorable. Ahhh, pets, they become so embedded in our hearts, it's terribly sad when they pass away so I'm sorry to hear about the loss of one of your older dogs. I'm sure Sasha will bring a lot of joy and THANK YOU for choosing a rescue dog!

Oh my goodness, Rose! She is the cutest little wiffit ever. She reminds me so so much of my beloved Maggie. We had Maggie for 14 years, and I miss her terribly.
When I saw Sasha, I got a little teary-eyed...
