Big Surgery for a little Girl

Could you send a postcard?

I've been talking with Melissa of Haut Totes for quite a while. HautTotes (her shop is currently in away mode) sells the most wonderful bags on Etsy. We have shared marketing ideas and traded tweets. Her 10 year old daughter Satori has Spinal Muscular Atrophy (type II) She uses a power wheelchair, can't walk, crawl, etc.

On March 31st she and her family will be traveling to California so that she can have a full spinal fusion. Melissa is asking everyone who can to send a postcard to her daughter. She will be in the hospital for 7-10 days and the postcards would help keep her occupied while trying to get better. If you can help, here is the address, or click the following link and it will go to the Postcards for Satori blog.

This is how the post card should be addressed:
Satori Lewis Surgery date 3-31-10
Davis 7 Pediatrics
UC DavisChildren's Hospital
2315 Stockton Blvd.

Sacramento, CA 95817 USA

**Be sure to include the surgery date**

You can count me in! :)

I hope the surgery goes well. Please do keep us updated. She's a beautiful girl and I'll certainly keep her in my prayers.

I will definitely send her a postcard and I'll make it myself! Sweet girl- makes me sad that she has to suffer like this. I too hope that her surgery goes well and that she recovers quickly.
Thanks for sharing this, Rose.

If you have to have surgery, California is a nice place to have it. I hope it all goes well for her.

I'm going to try to remember the post card, but it's a long time away.

Thanks for visiting my blog.

Oh, look at that beautiful girl. So much wonderful spirit dancing across her face...

You better believe I will send her a postcard, with lots of love attached to it.

Would it be ok for me to do a post on my blog about this? To spread the word, the more postcards that little angel gets, the better.
