Best Birthday Cake Ever! Tammie Coe Cakes!

As a child I always received a birthday cake from my parents and for many of those years it came from Resche's Bakery in Columbus, Ohio on Livingston Ave. My wedding cake came from there as well. I don't know if it still exists, but if it does and you are ever in that area head there and get some of the best baked goods around.

Now that I'm all grown up (most of the time) my favorite birthday cakes come from Tammie Coe. These cakes are to die for and look how cleverly designed they are. Click on the picture and it will take you to the website and you can look at all of the eye candy cakes!

Today is my birthday and guess what is for dessert tonight!

Happy Birthday! I took a cake decorating class once - making cakes like that is NOT easy! Enjoy your cake.

Happy happy birthday! What a delicious treat.... mmmm... I'm feeling like cake tonight too! Or maybe just cookies... Will have to be home-baked though. Tammie Coe is for super-special occasions only. Enjoy your special day!

OMG - Resche's - LOVE that place! Its still there! I grew up in Reynoldsburg, so we were very close to it. I haven't been there since I was a child, but I remember my mom getting bread there that they dyed blue and pink for baby showers that she made these little "tea" sandwiches with - yummy! My sister got her wedding cake there too!
Small world! Thanks for letting me remember that place!
Cheers,
Deb

My brother owns a cake bakery, but he doesn't produce anything like these! Wow.

Happy Birthday, O'Talented One :D

Yup, Resch's is still there, same location. I grew up in Clintonville, but my Mom had a friend in Reynoldsburg and they used to go to Resch's to get goodies for their bridge club. LOL I'm in Westerville now and will have to go see what it's all about. I love bakeries!! Have a fairly good one here in town, but nothing beats the "old days". Thanks for sharing.

Happy Birthday..Isn't it funny, my mom always made us a cake for our birthday..even after I was married..when I came for a visit..she had it waiting..One had 7 different fillings..that was the one I would request every year. God Bless her, it was a pain to make, but she would do it anyway..

To answer the general question....these cakes are just delicious! There are various flavors and there is a raspberry filling between the cake and icing. Oh yummy!

A belated happy birthday.

Wonderful cake, reminds me of one you might see at the Mad Hatter's tea party or in the Wizard of Oz.

Trouble is how do you actually ruin such a creation by cutting it LOL

That looks soooo good. It would be hard to cut into, but I would because it looks delicious. Just amazing. I can barely ice a cake without making a total mess of it.
