These are the last group of photos from New Mexico. This is Three Rivers petroglyph site which I wanted to share before we leave for vacation. These petroglyph's are amazing. We learned that if a picture is upside down it doesn't mean that the rock fell over, it was their way of releasing the being or person from death. If you do visit this site, while it is easier to get to then some other sites, it is a hike up a hill to a higher elevation so take your time and enjoy the scenery. And, as anytime you visit the desert SW make sure you are carrying plenty of water...and drinking it.Sunday

Rose, this sure is adventurous and I admire and envy at the same time the experience you have traveling to see places.
I mean places, not cities and this is where the spirit of life speaks to a person. Do share your inspiration sometimes.

Wow..how interesting, never seen this for sure. I was drinking my coconut when I saw one snake hovering on a branch above my head..that was scary, and everyone else were laughing. It seems that the snakes were harmless. Enjoy your trip and look forward to hearing more :)
This looks amazing! Too bad we didn't know about this when we took our road trip to Texas! Wonder how far this is from our route (I-40)... Hmm, off to consult google map...
Great pictures! We've driven by this site a few times on the way to White Sands - but never stopped. I think we'll make sure to do so on our next trip to that part of the state (it's about 150 miles from here).
That is so cool! I would love to go there and see that in person, fascinating!
We visited the Dinosaur Nat'l Monument in Utah a few years ago. Stayed at a campground near a petroglyph site and were in awe.
