Steve Jobs Listened!

If you read my blog you know that about a week ago I wrote a letter to Steve Jobs about my iPhone and connectivity issues as well as unlocking the GPS. Many of you wished me luck on getting an answer....so many of you with little faith. He actually did better than politely sending a response to me...he actually improved most of the features that I requested.

The iPhone is now faster, developers will soon be releasing 100's of new applications, Apple developed a new service called Mobile Me (if you are already a .mac subscriber your subscription will be automatically upgraded), and the best of all they unlocked the GPS! Mobile me is push technology so that your phone, mail, and calender will stay in sync without the necessity of manually syncing! There are many other new features that come along with the 2.0 software update...if you are interested you should check it out on the Apple site.

I was going to write Steve a thank you letter...but then I read that to get the speed and GPS I'd have to buy a new iPhone...hmmm

it kinnda sucks because I don't know what am I gonna do with my old iPhone? 3G sounds cool, it is a world wide phone ... but what to do with my current one man, which I bought 2 months ago.

My only disappointment with the new iPhone was that Apple hasn't added, for what ever reason, cut & paste, or bumped upped the camera to 5 megapixels.

Cut and paste can easily be added; the camera, well, not so easy.

All-in-all, there was more positives than negatives and I'm looking forward to seeing it here in Canada.

You have to buy a new iphone AND commit to another 2 year contact..... There doing some really "unlike mac" things over there.

Ohhh I didn't know that you had to sign another contract...and I assume it's still with AT&T? The best product with the worst carrier!

sort of good news, but only if you haven't got one already by the sounds of it!

My husband was counting the days until his Sprint contract ended so he could get an iPhone, but now with the cost so high, he's having second thoughts!

I think he should simply send you a new phone as a thank you for supporting his company!
