Nonsensical typing skills!

Do you remember all those practice exercises in typing class?

fjklel? fjfjfrurufjufj? mnmn?

It would have been a lot more fun to practice all those in typing class if we had been commenting on blogs. Little did I know, I'm not telling you how many years ago...but it was on a typewriter with a manual return, that this torturous exercise would be useful in the future. I probably wouldn't have even given this a second thought, but I began to blog and in turn began looking at more and more blogs. Yes, there were blogs that I followed prior to writing my own, but it was minimal and when that little phrase had to be typed in...I thought ok...I'll just focus my eyes a little harder and it will be fine --no typos! But now...those little pass codes are popping up many times a day torturing me everytime I want to leave a comment...well almost everytime. Some people haven't been hit by spam yet so are letting us off the hook.

Now if the optometrist could figure out a way to help me discern letters that are all run together I could post my comments even more quickly! I'm glad there is a way to cut down on the spam, but in some cases you can't figure out what the "secret" combination is just to leave a friendly comment. Oh, the little frustrations in life!

Haha. I have to tell you that I hate those stupid word verification codes, but at the same time I love them for preventing my blogs from becoming hit with spammers galore.

Sometimes I find myself typing in the same darn code 5 times before it is finally accepted.

I've always loved a good puzzle and don't mind the little codes....too much. I still have and use my Grandmothers 1930's Royal Typewriter and maybe that's why the codes aren't too much of a nightmare:-)

Thank you for visiting my blog and giving me a chance to meet you. Your cuffs are beautiful!

I hate those darned word verifications! They aren't words at all and if I've typed the darn thing in twice and I still don't get it, I give up! You may never see this comment...I haven't been spammed, so I can't understand the silly wavy letters one bit!

Haha, I can't stand those codes! I'm not looking forward to having to type one in in a moment to leave this comment. But I love your connection between them and elementary typing practise. The code I need to leave in a moment is: vaynk. Vaynk!

I get so annoyed with these, too.
Usually, I have to re-type them.

And, yes, I learned on a manual typewriter as well. I remember being thrilled when the automatic return was introduced!

Off to try the word verification...

LOL, this cracks me up! I hate typing all of that gibberish, and I mess up every time! How annoying! But I did get a virus in disguise as a person commenting, so I have since then added the word verification to my own blog. I sure do feel your pain, though!

I always thought this about these codes- I am reminded of my Brother Correct-o-Ball days. Thank goodness for typing lessons!

Yes, I can never figure these things out! It's always Vs and Ws packed in so tightly that they just look like a zigzag!

I know. Sometimes I look at those darn letters three times and I swear I typed them right, but it still says I didn't. Frustrating, but a necessary evil!
